Location mapping is widely used in fields like Management Consulting, Sales, Marketing, etc where people demonstrate the positioning of the subject property and the connectivity status from the subject property.

Today we will see how to prepare a complete Location map consisting of implementation of different icons, laying of roads, changings the design style of the map, etc

Getting the map from Google Maps

There are two ways of inserting the map

1.    Method 01 - We can take the screenshot from google maps, by hitting the PrtScr button and pasting it in paint. Later, saving the image in the desired location

2.    Method 2 With the help of a snipping tool, cut the area of the map you require and save the image in the desired location.

Below you can see the desired area of the map is cropped with the help of the snipping tool and saved.

Inserting Image in ppt of Map

To insert the image,

Steps - Click on Insert -> Click on Pictures -> Click this device

Now, we have inserted the image of the location we have cropped since the map looks very normal firstly, we will learn to change the Colour of the Map.

 

Changing Image Colour in ppt

There are two ways to get the Picture Format tab, you can double click on the image, and directly it will take you to the Picture format tab, or you can single click on the image, then click on the Picture Format tab.

Once you have clicked on the picture format tab, you can change the color of the map as seen below

You can choose the color style whichever suits your presentation the best, for me, I have opted for the first style.

Inserting the Location Point

Once the Map and the desired style have been inserted, the first thing we can do is to insert the location point so we can further have a reference point of the map we are executing.

To insert the Location pinpoint, click on Insert -> Icons

After you have moved to the insert pan, you can type Location and insert the icon as you can see in the below image

Adjust the location pinpoint and drag to the desired subject location. As the color of the pinpoint is not properly visible, we can change to color as per our requirement, for that

Double click over pinpoint -> Graphic fill -> Desired Colour

Inserting Roadways Connectivity

Click on Insert -> Shapes -> Freeform shape

After Selecting the freeform shape, you can drag the points on the map where the roads are and mark the roads as required.

Once you have marked the lines, you can change the color of the freeform and the weight of the freeform as required to your requirement.

Differentiating demographic population in different area’s

We can highlight the demographic area distribution based on the population with different colors with the same use of freeform shape. Here I will demonstrate to give you a bit idea regarding it.

With the freeform, we have pointed the locations and now, we will be filling them with different colors, to make them more easily understandable.

Click on the shape -> Click on Shape fill -> Choose your desirable color

As we can see, the borders the still visible of different colors, so we can change the same from

Shape outline -> No outline/selecting the same color of the shape fill, you can follow steps from the image provided below

Grouping items in ppt

The last thing that mandatory has to be performed so that every item you have placed in the image stays in the same position is to group the image.

Step 1 For that firstly make a left click from the mouse and select the full screen as you can see below

How to use AND function in Excel– Formula, Example

AND function is one of the logical functions in Microsoft excel that is used to determine the condition provided by the user is True or False. The And function requires a minimum of 1 condition (and the maximum conditions in And function can go up to 255) for example the test such as looking for a number that is in cell A1 is greater than 10 but less than 15. [=AND(A1>10,A1<15)]

If the numbers fall in the conditions, the result we receive is True, else False.

The And function is very helpful when it comes to determining multiple conditions being true or not. And function can be combined with IF function, to provide dynamic outcome, which will also be covered in the latter topic.

 The formula of AND Function

=AND(Logical1, [Logical2],..)

The AND function logical arguments can be further described as –

Logical 1 – The first logic/condition to be evaluated which is true or false

Logical 2 – The Second logic/condition to be evaluated.

Remark –

  •  If all the logic satisfies the condition, the result is True.
  • If even a single logic test does not satisfy the condition, the result we receive is false.
  •  If the cell or the array is empty, the values are ignored.
  • #Value! Error in end function is observed when the logical range does not contain any logical value.

 How to use AND Function – Example

Example – 1

We have two numbers 10 & 15, we have to put the condition that the number we have falls between the given two i.e., 10 & 15, then we can use AND function such as

 

in the above example, the result we receive is False since the value is 20.

Once the value is changed to 12 the result is observed to be True.

 

Combining the AND function with Max and MIN function 

Suppose we have the given data as seen


Consider we have 3 different series, and we have to find out that the Series 1 values fall between series 2 & series 3, there we can combine MAX/Min function with AND Function


If you observe the formula tab, D4 is the series we want to check that it falls between Series 2 & Series 3, so we combined the max and minimum function to get the result dynamically.
Logic 1- Denotes 43(D4) is greater than the minimum of 39 & 83
Logic 2 - Denotes 43(D4) is less than the maximum of 39 & 83
Since 43 falls between 39 & 83, the result we receive from the Combined AND(max/min) function is True.

Since 69 doesn't fall between 72 & 74, the result we receive is false.


Example – 2 Combination of AND Function and IF Function 

Suppose there are 3 students in class if they score more than 40 marks in Maths, Physics & chemistry. They pass the exam and get 5 marks extra in the least scoring subject.



We have used IF function to provide +5 marks to the least scoring subject of the student who passes the exam, And function provides the Pass and Fail criteria by analyzing the data of the three subjects to be above 40 and the minimum function adds +5 marks to the least scoring subject.

What happens when we accidentally send an Email with a lack of information or to the wrong person or group of people? Is there any procedure to make the email disappear from the recipient's MS Outlook Email?

The answer is yes!! Recall email in the outlook feature.

Recalling the email is a built-in feature in Microsoft Outlook, which reverts back the email you have sent to a person mistakenly, incomplete, or any other reason who haven’t yet opened it with an option of delete or replace.

Sounds Simple?

Yes!! it is very simple to Recall the email in MS Outlook [2021], but certain conditions have to be followed.

Conditions/ Rules for Recall email in outlook 2021

1. The First Condition/Rule is “The sender of the email and the recipient of the email mandatory have  Microsoft 365 or Microsoft Exchange email account, that too in the same organization”. The feature will not work if one person is using a Gmail account and another Microsoft email account or if they are from different organizations.

2. The Second Condition/RuleThe Email must not be opened by the recipient and the email should be in inbox folder” If the email is opened by the recipient in MS outlook, you will not be able to use the function of to Recall email. The same goes with the folder the email has gone, if the email went to the Spam folder or any other, this feature will not work.

3. The Third Condition/Rules “Recipient internet should be on, so as the email goes to the recipient inbox”. The feature only works when the email is received to the recipient's inbox, if not the feature is not available.

 

Steps of How to recall Outlook emails

Step 1 Click Sent Email >> Look for Email you want to Recall >> Double Click Email to open all the features of email. The window will open like the picture below

Step 2 Click Message >> Actions >> Recall this message

Step 3 A pop-up will open confirming to delete the Email from the recipient or to replace the email.

Note – If you delete the email then it will be deleted, but if you choose to Replace the email then a new pop-up will come to modify the email.

When Recall an email in the outlook feature will not work?

1. When someone opens your message before you use the function.

2. When the email went to some different folder other than Inbox.

3.  When the recipient is using any other account other than ms outlook which can be Gmail, Yahoo, etc.
